Real Estate Tax Payments to Town/Village Treasurer
Important:
The real estate tax payment due by January 31 must be paid directly to the Town or Village Treasurer as shown on the annual tax bill. not to the county.  The County Treasurer cannot accept the first installment payment.  See due dates below.

Due Dates for Property Tax Payments
Property tax bills are mailed by the Town or Village Treasurer in December.  The tax bill will state if payment in full is required by January 31, or if the payment may be paid in two installments.

The required first installment must be made to the proper Town or Village Treasurer by January 31, not to the county. If the January 31 payment due date is not met, the unpaid property tax balance becomes delinquent and accrues interest at a rate of 1% per month starting February 1.

The required second installment, if applicable, is due to the Burnett County Treasurer by July 31, not to the town or village. If the July 31 payment due date is not met, the unpaid property tax balance becomes delinquent and accrues interest at a rate of 1% per month starting February 1.
