Social Worker - Behavioral Health
Overview

Burnett County is currently accepting applications for a full-time social worker/case manager to provide services in the Behavioral Health Unit, specifically providing crisis follow up as statutorily required under Chapter 34 and targeted case management.  Duties further include work with Chapter 51 involving individuals with chronic mental health concerns and providing those individuals with ongoing services.     The purpose of this position is to provide intake, assessment, crisis follow up, and on-going case management to adults and children with mental health needs and diagnosis.   This position also provides ongoing case management to clients seeking voluntary Meth Case Management.  This position further provides coordination and leadership for the Mental Health Task Force and related activities. 


This position will include being part of the evening mobile crisis response rotation that will require after hours intake one week, every 5-7 weeks, from 4PM-12PM.

  • Status:      Full-Time - Non-Exempt - 37.5 Hours/Week 
  • Wage:       $23.79 - 25.72/Hour DOQ plus excellent Fringe Benefits

Requirements

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree with a major in social work or a closely related field, Wisconsin Certification as a Social Worker or eligible for Certification within 2 years of hire, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proficient computer skills.   

 

Relevant formal preparation would include prior work experience as a Social Worker in a County Setting; a working knowledge of social work principles, ethics and boundaries, and familiarity with Chapters 34 and 51 Wisconsin State Statutes; and knowledge of Nightingale Notes or other electronic health record systems is preferred.  State training will be required to meet standards for specific job duties.
