Mission
The Health and Human Services Department is dedicated to providing high quality, community-based services to the people of Burnett County.
Behavioral Health & Community Programs Unit
The Behavioral Health and Community Programs Unit:
- coordinates services to provide treatment and support to individuals who may be experiencing problems with mental illness or substance abuse.
- assists families of children with development disabilities and/or delays.
- works to ensure the health and safety of vulnerable adults and elderly.
Children & Families Unit
The Children and Families Unit supports children and families by identifying, preventing and resolving conditions which may contribute toward delinquency, maltreatment, truancy, and uncontrollably.
Economic Support
Economic Support assists in providing financial services to meet the primary needs of low-income individuals and families.
Public Health
Public Health protects people's health and safety by preventing and controlling disease and injuries and providing public education programs.
