Farmland Preservation Program
Farmland Preservation Program is a program to help preserve farmland through local planning and zoning, which provides tax relief to farmers who participate. Farmers qualify for tax relief if they sign a contract, agreeing not to develop their land during the contract period.
Shoreline Habitat Restoration
This is a voluntary program to restore native plants near lake and river-front property. Technical assistance is available to interested landowners and financial assistance in the form of cost-sharing (70%-county / 30%-landowner) is available on a first come, first served basis. Why? Attract a greater diversity of wildlife, screen your view of the lake, reduce the time you spend maintaining your lawn, protect the quality of your lake!

Orders can be mailed or dropped off at the Burnett County Government Center (address is listed on the order form). Orders must be paid in full when placed. Cash or checks only... no credit cards accepted. Trees and shrubs are picked up at the end of April; wildflowers are the beginning of June.
You will be notified of the exact date and location for pickup of your order(s) so it is imperative that we have a current mailing address or email address submitted when you place your order.
Our stock is ordered in advance from the nurseries so sales are accepted on a "first come, first served" basis.
