T his photo of the Burnett County Sentinel office was probably taken about 1901.

From left, A.J. Myrland, co-editor; Maude Ahlstrom, apparently related to co-editor J. Herbert Ahlstrom; an unidentified youth and Arthur L. Myrland, about age 10.

The sign over the door reads "A.J. Myrland, lawyer," so the photo couldn't have been taken any earlier than August 1901, when A.J. moved his law office to the Sentinel. The wires going into the building might be telegraph lines or power lines. If they're power lines it could mean that the picture was taken after electricity was installed in town. Note the two women at the far left of the photo standing in the doorway of an adjacent building.
