    Larson Brothers will give a $4.25 mackintosh to the person
who brings in the heaviest cow.

    N.C. Unseth will give a silver butter dish to the person who
brings to the village the heaviest rooster.

* * *

    The First Bank of Grantsburg will give $2.00 to the farmer
who will bring in the best bred milch cow.

* * *

    Capt. Rice will give free keeping and a half bushel of oats to the poorest team that comes to town that day.

* * *

    A.E. Nelson will give a five dollar clock to the person who
will bring in the nicest load of soft or hard body wood.

* * *

    Charles Sanders will pay $3.00 above the market price for the heaviest load of tame hay brought into the village on Market Day.

* * *

    Anderson & Giswold want to see who has the heaviest bull and will give a $9.00 harness to the person who brings the heaviest bull to the village that day.

* * *

    The farmer who is in Grantsburg on Market Day with the heaviest farm team will be given a suit of clothing. He may take any suit in the store of John Elg & Sons.

* * *

    The Hickerson Roller Mill Co. will give a 100 lb. sack of Snowflake flour to the person who comes the greatest distance to Grantsburg for Market Day with a yoke of cattle.

* * *

    Simon Thoreson will give two prizes. He will give $2.00 to the person who brings in the heaviest spring colt and $3.00 to the one who brings in the best assortment of pedigree stock. The pedigree must be shown.

* * *

    Jensen & White will give a two bushel sack filled with German Millet seed to the person who brings in stock for exhibition purposes and comes from the farthest point away from Grantsburg in Burnett or adjoining counties.

* * *

    Lonergan & Burgan offer as a premium to the farmer coming the farthest distance from Grantsburg enough wall paper of his own choice to paper the largest room in his house. The farmers competing must bring in their wives and families.

* * *

    Simon Olson wants to know who has the heaviest cat and will give as a premium a pound of Copenhagen snuff to the person who will bring such cat to town that day. The cat may be wild or tame but it must be alive and have four good sound legs.

* * *

    Luther & Jensen are looking for heavy people. You are invited to call at their store on Market Day and get weighed free of charge. The heaviest man will be given a $1.00 tea or coffee pot and the heaviest woman will be presented with a $3.50 set of silver knives and forks.

* * *

    Married couples are invited to call at the Sentinel office and state the length of time they have been married. The couple calling that day who have been married the longest will be given a subscription to the Sentinel, which will continue without pay so long as the couple continues to live happily together.

* * *

    A.C. Gilman of the Excelsior factory, wants to find out what amount of bolts are already cut and wants the farmers to report to him on Market Day what they have on hand. The person who on that day satisfactorily proves that he has the largest amount on hand will be given a cash prize of $2.00.

* * *

    The Journal wants to receive visits from large families on Market Day. These families will be requested to leave the names and ages of the children present and the largest family thus calling will be given a four year paid subscription to The Journal. This is worth $5. Only those who come to the office will be counted.
