Rules and Regulations
The entire Burnett County Forest is open to hunting, trapping, and fishing used by the general public during any legal season as established by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Plat books
are the best resource for locating public lands.
Individuals may not reserve areas or restrict use by others. Boats, canoes, or other personal belongings cannot be stored on county lands without permission.
Permanent hunting platforms or deer stands are not permitted. Only portable non-damaging tree stands, which need to be removed daily, may be used. Cutting of shooting lanes or construction of ground level hunting blinds is not allowed.
