Real Estate Tax Payments to Town/Village Treasurer
Important:  The real estate tax payment due by January 31 should be paid directly to the town or village treasurer as shown on the annual tax bill and not to the county.  See below.

Due Dates for Property Tax Payments
Property tax bills are mailed by the Town or Village Treasurer in mid to late December.  The tax bill will state if payment in full is required by January 31, or if the payment may be paid in two installments.

The required first installment must be made to the proper Town or Village Treasurer by January 31. If the January 31 payment due date is not met, the unpaid property tax balance becomes delinquent and accrues interest at a rate of 1% per month starting February 1.

The required second installment, if applicable, is due to the Burnett County Treasurer by July 31. If the July 31 payment due date is not met, the unpaid property tax balance becomes delinquent and accrues interest at a rate of 1% per month starting February 1.
