A WI State Trail Pass is required for bicyclists 16 years of age or older to ride the Gandy Dancer Trail. You do not need a pass when hiking.
Daily passes are $5.00 and an annual pass is $25.00. These passes are valid on any state bike trail in the state of Wisconsin.

Holiday Station Store-South (open 24/7), The Lodge at Crooked Lake (open 24/7), Peggy's Fashion Rack, and Yourchuck's True Value (open 7a.m.-9p.m. daily)

Disabled vets and former POWs may obtain a free trail pass by following this link: dnr.wi.gov/permits/veterans
The regular conservation patron license includes state trail pass rights, so a separate state trail pass is not needed.

Gandy Dancer Trail Events:
The Wisconsin DNR has requirements that need to be followed if your group wants to plan an event using the Gandy Dancer Trail. Please contact the Forest & Parks Dept. for more information at 715-349-2157.

Please note - the trail is NOT closed to other users during special events; however, please be prepared to encounter these groups on the trail.
Other Uses on the Gandy Dancer
ATV/UTV use is NOT allowed on the Gandy Dancer Trail south of Hwy 77 in Burnett County from April 1 - November 30.
From December 1st through March 31st, and once trails are officially open
, snowmobiles/ATVs/UTVs may ride the full length of the Gandy Dancer.
