BURNETT COUNTY
STATE-FUNDED WINTER USE
ATV TRAIL RULES

Enforceable by Burnett County Ordinance 03-02

1. Only registered Machines meeting the state definition of an ATV are allowed on the trails, as well as registered Snowmobiles.

2. The trail system is open from December 1 through March 31, when a 4 inch groomed snow base has been received. These trails are shown on the winter use trail map. If we do not have snow, state-funded trails on the Burnett County Forest lands are open for use once the ground is frozen, all other trails are closed to ATV's, ORV's, and Motorcycles during this time. Trails using town roads and crossing other property ownerships are not open for use until a 4 inch groomed snow base has been received. It is your responsibility to know whose property you are riding on.

3. The blue blazers indicate the Winter use ATV trail.

4. This trail system may be closed by the county if an early thaw exists, and rutting or damage begins to show.

Remember to respect other trail users and enjoy the ride.
