Doug Stubbe

Doug is a 29+ year veteran of the US Army and Army Reserve. He began his military career on active duty as a Pvt in the military police corps. He later served on active duty again as a 1LT in the 10th Mtn Div (Light Infantry). During Doug's time in the reserve, he deployed twice: 1st to Bosnia in 1998 with the 1st Cavalry Div in support of the NATO Peacekeeping mission and then again in 2003 to Iraq with the 19th MMC in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Doug served in many capacities as a soldier, starting in the military police, armor, infantry, personnel, ordnance, and logistics. Currently, he continues to work in logistics as a battalion commander. He is a member of American Legion Post #132 and a life member of VFW Post #1256.

Doug was born in Sheboygan, WI, raised in Fond du Lac, WI, moved around a bit and then landed in Burnett County, WI in 1999 where he originally served as the 4-H / Youth Development Educator for UW-Extension until starting his current position as Veteran Services Officer on April 17, 2006 upon the retirement of Jim Sundquist.

Doug is married to Lynn, and has a daughter and a son, both of whom attend Webster school. His none work activities include hunting (deer, turkey, duck), canoeing, camping, XC-Skiing and rock-climbing.
