SURVEYOR, LAND INFORMATION COMMITTEE MEETING
March 31, 2005

Present: Chris Sybers, Gene Olson, Rick Anderson, Wayne Burmeister, Mary Falk, Jim Flanigan, Kathy Swingle, and Carol Johnson.

Meeting called to order by Chair, Wayne Burmeister.

Motion made by Rick Anderson and seconded by Gene Olson to approve the minutes of the last meeting. Carried.

Motion made by Rick Anderson and seconded by Gene Olson to go into Closed Session. Voice vote responding yes: Chris Sybers, Gene Olson, Rick Anderson and Wayne Burmeister. Mary Falk was not present.

Motion made by Rick Anderson and seconded by Chris Sybers to reconvene to Open Session. Carried.

Motion made by Rick Anderson and seconded by Gene Olson to certify Jonna Nesgoda as a regular fulltime employee. (Zoning Office) Carried.

The Surveyor's Report was reviewed.

The Land Information Report was reviewed.

Discussion concerning unlicensed surveyor and realtor involved. It was decided that a letter should be sent to the realtor involved, requesting him to submit the names of the people the unlicensed surveys were completed for so the illegal surveys may be indexed. Realtors, title people, licensed surveyors, etc would then be aware of this illegal activity.

Sid Briggs has been attending our committee meetings for several years as a member of the general public. He has decided to "retire" from our committee. Motion made by Chris Sybers and seconded by Rick Anderson to recognize Sid for his many years of volunteer service to the county. Carried. We will ask him to attend the next meeting and present him with our recognition.

Kathy gave a presentation of how the parcel maps are created and the research needed to create them.

Kathy said NAZCA will be doing a presentation on April 20th in Hayward. A short explanation was given so the committee members would have a basis for discussion if it comes up at the County Board Meeting.

Vouchers were presented for approval. Motion made by Rick Anderson and seconded by Chris Sybers to approve payment of the vouchers. Carried.

Motion made by Rick Anderson and seconded by Chris Sybers to adjourn the meeting. Carried.
