SURVEYOR, LAND INFORMATION COMMITTEE MEETING
February 15, 2005

Present: Gene Olson, Rick Anderson, Wayne Burmeister, Mary Falk, Chris Sybers, Eldon Freese, Kathy Swingle, and Carol Johnson.

Meeting called to order by chair, Wayne Burmeister.

Motion made by Rick Anderson and seconded by Gene Olson to approve the minutes of the last meeting. Carried.

Jim Flanigan discussed some zoning issues with the Committee.

The County Surveyor's Report was reviewed.

The Land Information Report was reviewed. Kathy explained some of the benefits of Pictometry.

There was a discussion regarding raising the fee for a fire/address number. A motion was made in January to increase the fee from $50 to $75. Carol attended the Towns' Association Meeting in January and they wanted to increase the fee to $90 instead of $75. Motion made by Chris Sybers and seconded by Rick Anderson to raise the fee to $100 for any new or replacement sign, that it should be the 8 inch flag style, red background with white lettering, and the fee should be split with $55 going to the township and $45 retained by the county. Carried. A letter will be sent to the townships advising them of the increase effective April 1st. A notice will also be placed in the newspaper.

Kathy explained the reasons for Roxy to attend the training being requested. Motion made by Mary Falk and seconded by Gene Olson to approve the request for the training. Carried.

Vouchers were presented for approval. Motion made by Chris Sybers and seconded by Gene Olson to approve payment of the vouchers. Carried.

Motion made by Chris Sybers and seconded by Gene Olson to adjourn the meeting. Carried.
