Committee Reorganization: The following Committee Officers were elected: Chairman - Carsten Endresen; Vice-Chairman - James Engelhart; Secretary - David Alderman.
Chairman Endresen called the May 7, 2004 meeting, of the Burnett County Property Committee, to order at 9:11 a.m.
Minutes of April 7, 2004: Motion to approve by Supervisor Engelhart, second by Supervisor Alderman, motion approved.
Maintenance Vouchers: Motion by Supervisor Engelhart to approve the April vouchers, totaling $1999.14, second by Supervisor Alderman. Motion carried.
Maintenance Report: Maintenance Supervisor Faught reported on April Maintenance Department operations and projects. Items reported: the remodeling of the 310 area is near completion, a circuit card and sensor failure rendering the public elevator out of service for 3 business days. Motion by Supervisor Alderman to approve the report, second by Supervisor Engelhart. Motion carried.
Airport Vouchers: Motion by Supervisor Engelhart to approve April Airport vouchers totaling $1650.44, second by Supervisor Alderman. Motion carried.
Airport Report: Airport Manager Arnold reported on March and April Airport operations and projects. Items reported: March - over all sales were down. April - sales nearly at the same level as last year, updated the committee on the status of the hanger lease agreements revisions, a fly in breakfast is tentatively set for 24 July, and that the Airport tenants are forming an association. Motion by Supervisor Alderman to approve the report, second by Supervisor Engelhart. Motion carried.
Other Business:
1) Information Technology's request to transfer of computer asset #1563 from
the Sheriff's Department to the Highway department.
2) Airport Manager's request to temporarily use a Pentium III PC for from storage.
Item to be signed out of storage.
Motion by Supervisor Engelhart to approve both requests, second by Supervisor
Alderman. Motion carried.
Discuss USDA space reutilization.
A general discussion took place of the recent history of department locations,
needs of the various departments, departmental cohesion, and the general flow
of the public though the building. Motion by Supervisor Engelhart that a plan
be developed for the following: 1) For the Administration/Human Resource Department,
Emergency Management, County Board Chair second floor offices be relocated to
the USDA offices. 2) Those second
floor areas vacated by item #1 are turned over to the District Attorneys Office.
3) The Assistant DA relocate from 215 to the consolidated DA area, 4) Area 215
to be converted back to a private meeting room available for counsel and clients
5) area 181 be turned over to the Land and Water Conservation Department. 6)
Maintenance Supervisor Faught working with the Administration to develop a plan
to best utilize the USDA space for the Administration/Human Resource Department,
Emergency Management, County Board Chair; and have it prepared by the June Property
Meeting, second by Supervisor Alderman. Motion carried.
Motion by Chairman Endresen to close the May Property Meeting, second by Supervisor Alderman. Motion carried.
