PERSONNEL COMMITTEE
MINUTES OF THE MEETING
April 27th, 2005

Administration / Human Resources Office, Room #196
10:00 A.M.

Committee Members Present: Gerald Pardun, Phil Lindeman, Eldon Freese and Emmett Byrne.

Committee Member Absent: Jeff Schinzing (who joined the proceedings during the Closed Session).

Others Present: Candace Fitzgerald - County Administrator / Human Resources Director, Laurie Millot - Arbitrator and Marcy Thalacker - Human Resources Generalist.

Chairman Gerald Pardun called the meeting to order.

Motion
Phil Lindeman motion, Emmett Byrne second to go into Closed Session at 10:05 A.M. pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 19.85(1)(c) and (e) for Union Interest Arbitration with the AFSCME, Locals #279 Highway Department Employees Union, #279-A Professional Union and the Non-Professional Union Groups. Roll Call Vote as follows:

The Committee reconvened to Open Session as announced at 3:20 P.M.

Motion
Jeff Schinzing motion, Phil Lindeman second to accept the Proposed Arbitrated Settlement Agreement as reached with the Highway Union Employees Unit. Motion carried.

Motion
Phil Lindeman motion, Emmett Byrne second to accept the Proposed Arbitrated Settlement Agreement as reached with the Professional Union Employees Unit. Motion carried.

Each Union Bargaining Committee will present their respective Settlement Agreements to their Union groups for ratification. After their ratification process, these Settlement Agreements will be presented at the next County Board of Supervisors Meeting for their review and approval.

The Personnel Committee will meet again on May 17th, 2005 at 9:30 A.M. in the Administration/Human Resources Office Conference Room #196.

The Personnel Committee will meet for Union Interest Arbitration with the Non-Professional Union Employees Unit, the remaining AFSCME Unit, on June 1st, 2005. The Committee will meet at 9:30 A.M. that day with discussions thereafter commencing with the Union at 10:30 A.M.

Gerald Pardun adjourned the meeting at 3:35 P.M.
