CALL TO ORDER: 9:40 a.m. by Charlie Peterson

MINUTES APPROVAL: Motion by Jim Engelhart/2nd Wayne Burmeister to approve the minutes as presented. Motion carried.

FINANCE REPORT APPROVAL: Motion by Wayne Burmeister/2nd Jim Engelhart to approve the finance report as presented including the voucher to Duane Callin. Motion carried.

AGENDA:

NRCS - FRAN COSHOW

o Reviewed response to EQIP sign-up which ended 12/31/05
o We currently have 30 existing contracts from previous EQIP sign-ups

WILDLIFE DAMAGE PROGRAM - CINDY BLONK

o Reviewed closing grain prices for 2005 crop damage. Prices were as follows: corn, $1.85/bushel; soybeans $5.81/bushel; snapbeans $81.00/ton; pumpkins $3.00 each; Indian corn 3 for $1.00; alfalfa $96.00/ton; and alfalfa grass $78.00/ton. Motion by Jim Engelhart/2nd Wayne Burmeister to approve closing grain prices for Burnett County 2005 as presented. Motion carried.

WLWCA - DAVE FERRIS & CHARLIE PETERSON

o Dave reviewed information from the WLWCA annual conference: Manure mgmt task force; methane conversion discussion; recap of resolutions. Charlie reviewed the conservation winners and auction results.

HARMONY ENVIRONMENTAL - DAVE FERRIS

o Review of the 2006 contract between Harmony Environmental and the LWCD. Motion by Wayne Burmeister/2nd Jim Engelhart to approve the 2006 contract and to allow Dave to sign the contract as representative of Burnett County. Motion carried.

COUNTY CONSERVATIONIST REPORT - DAVE FERRIS

o Reviewed a conference call regarding adding staff to the WLWCA Board.
o NWLCA area meeting - Monday, 1/16 - Hayward
o Pri-Ru-Ta meeting - Friday, 1/13, Hayward
o Working with Loon Lake Property Owners Assoc. on some issues
o Dave is working with Cheryl Clemens to find a match for the AIS state grant - possibly funding from some of the Lake Associations. Jim suggested perhaps we could get some funding from the RC&D.
o Midwest Value Added Agricultural Conference in Eau Claire on 1/27 for anyone interested
