CALL TO ORDER: 9:35 a.m. by Charlie Peterson
MINUTES APPROVAL: Motion by Im Engelhart/2nd Wayne Burmeister to approve the minutes as presented. Motion carried.
FINANCE REPORT APPROVAL: Reviewed new financial report (New World system). Motion by Duane Johnson/2nd Wayne Burmeister to approve the finance report as presented. Motion carried.

NRCS - TOM FREDRICKSON
o Tom introduced Denise Johnson, a student out of UM - Twin Cities, majoring in Natural Resources. Denise will be interning with the NRCS for this semester
o EQIP sign up November 1 vs. Spring sign up (as in the past)
o Program updates & discussion
- Several new programs being offered.
- WHIP sign up 11/1 through 12/31, state wide.
- Soil judging plans
- Conservation Day recap
o Kent is working with the Tribe on shoreline restorations and well abandonments
o Final soil survey celebration invite.
WILDLIF DAMAGE PROGRAM - Ann Lane
o Review of 2006 budget request worksheet. Motion by Wayne Burmeister/2nd Jim Engelhart to approve the budget request as presented. Motion carried.
o Update on relocation of storage unit to newer facility
MORRISON MANURE PIT - DAVE FERRIS & ERIC WOJCHIK
o Reviewed bid process and results.
o Friday will be a preconstruction meeting
o Motion by Duane Johnson/2nd Wayne Burmeister to approve and have Charlie Peterson sign the DATCP cost share dollars transfer request in order to transfer dollars from Menomonie County to Burnett County to cover the remainder of the Morrison project. Motion carried.
POSTER CONTEST - ANN LANE
o No posters submitted this year.
CONSERVATION DAY RECAP - DAVE & ANN
o Reviewed the day's events, weather, winners.
VANCE COST SHARE AGREEMENT - ANN
o Reviewed the Vance CSA - which exceeds the preset limit of $1200 for SIP cost share agreements. Motion by Duane Johnson/2nd Jim Engelhart to approve the Vance cost share agreement in excess of the preset limit. Motion carried.
2006 BUDGET REVIEW DAVE
o Dave reviewed the revisions to the original 2006 budget request.

o County Conservationist Meeting - 10/17 & 18 in Waupaca
o NALMS - Novemeber 9-11 in Madison.
o Motion by Wayne Burmeister/2nd Duane Johnson to allow Dave Ferris to attend all three meetings.

o Upcoming Tri County Soil Judging contest review. 10/12 @ Webster Community Center.
o Reviewed Forest Stewardship Meeting/Tours
o Update on workings of WLWCA Legislative Committee; lobbying in re: aquatic exotics & terrestrial exotics
o Recap of recent rain storms; 10.85 inches at the airport. Reviewed status of dams due to rainfall.
o MALWEG Grant - Farmer written nutrient management plans in Winter of 2006 - 2007
o WI Natural Resources magazine - reviewed article on shoreline restoration shot at Bob Williams' property
o Review of Mark Knoop project - before and after photos.
