CALL TO ORDER: 9:30 a.m. by Charlie Peterson

MINUTES APPROVAL: Motion by Jim Engelhart/2nd Wayne Burmeister to approve the minutes as presented. Motion carried.

FINANCE REPORT APPROVAL: Motion by Wayne Burmeister/2nd Jim Engelhart to approve the finance report as presented.
Motion carried.

AGENDA:

WILDLIFE DAMAGE PROGRAM - Cindy Blonk

-Review of Cooperative Service Agreement with APHIS for bear trapping on ag damaged fields. $2275 for the 2006 calendar year. Motion by Jim Engelhart/2nd Wayne Burmeister to approve contract as presented. Motion carried.

NRCS - Tom Fredrickson

*General update on activities, ie wetland determinations, etc.
*Update on program payment activities.
*FSA applied for crop disaster program
*Gary Schmeidlin, former employee, passed away 3 weeks ago.

POKEGAMA LAKE SUPPORT - Dave Ferris

*Review of Pokegama Lake (Searles Cranberry marsh) project and efforts to acquire the land for public ownership. Motion by Wayne Burmeister/2nd Jim Engelhart to go on record as supporting the purchase of this land for the public benefit. Motion carried.

WEBSTER FAIR TREE DRAWING - Ann Lane

*Held the drawing for 5 winners and 2 alternates from entrants received from the Webster fair for free tree giveaway.

WFLGP - Dave Ferris

*Recap of the program parameters. Motion by Wayne Burmeister/2nd Jim Engelhart to approve participation in the program.
Motion carried.

SUMMER LTE SALARY - Dave Ferris

*Review of performance and pay history of summer LTE. Motion by Jim Engelhart/2nd Wayne Burmeister to increase the hourly wage for the summer LTE to $11.25 effective 1/1/06. Motion carried.

2006 SUMMER TECH SALARY - Dave Ferris

*Review of the duties of the 2006 summer technician as pertains to the Aquatic Invasive Species grant from the DNR. Motion by Jim Engelhart/2nd Wayne Burmeister to start the 2006 summer AIS technician at a salary of $10.00 per hour. Motion carried.

2006 BUDGET REVIEW - Dave Ferris

*Review of the 2006 budget requested expenses and revenue. Motion by Jim Engelhart/2nd Wayne Burmeister to approve and support the 2006 budget request as presented. Motion carried.

COUNTY CONSERVATIONIST REPORT - Dave Ferris

*Update on Conservation Specialist site visits and projects.
*Tom Loomis project (gully erosion) starts today
*WLWCA By Laws Committee work has been completed and committee is dissolved.
*Dave attended NR115 hearing on shoreland zoning - will make comments by 9/1/05
*Forest Legacy Committee has reviewed projects and will conduct site reviews at next meeting in 9/05
*Natural Resource Board - in Spooner next week for listening session & business meeting. Dave will attend business mtg.
*Engineering projects update - Knoop almost complete. In beginning stages of a manure pit abandonment on the Anderson/Trade Lake town line.
*8/20/05 - pasture walk at the Burdick farm
*Distributed raffle tickets from NACD for anyone interested.
*Distributed raffle tickets from RC&D for anyone interested.

PRI-RU-TA - Chris Borden

*Chris gave a review of the responsibilities of the RC&D and an update of current/possible upcoming projects.
