*Jim gave a recap of the meeting he attended including a visit to the Ed & Mary Chaplinski farm (Conservation Farmers of the Year) as part of Conservation Observance Day. Their farm has changed from dairy to conservation practices only.
NRCS - Fran Coshow
*0 conservation plans
*EQIP - Received sign ups for $4571 in excess of $$ allotted. Will try to get remaining dollars in order to fund the 1 remaining practice not covered. Requests included residue management, no till, fencing, nutrient management and tree & shrub establishment
WILDLIFE DAMAGE - Cindy Blonk
*A new rule has been set for the Deer Donation Program establishing a limit of $50/deer to processors to cover processing costs. (statewide average cost is $67/deer). Will look for other options to try to cover remaining costs so as not to lose processor participation.
*Per Ron Klein, auditor for WDP, LWCD delivery charges will no longer be a reimburseable expense. The state will NOT pay for transportation of processed venison from the processors to the food pantries. It will be up to the pantries to find a way to get the venison from the locker plants.
BIG WOOD LAKE - Paul Cook

*New gravel pit beginning in Blaine Township.
MAP PRICING - Paul Cook
*Request is to adopt the same pricing structure for producing maps and map products as the menu currently used through the Land Information office. Motion by Wayne Burmeister/2nd Jim Engelhart to charge a fee for the production of maps/map products utilizing the fee schedule from the Land Information Department. Motion carried.

*Review of Burnett County NR151 implementation strategy
*By 1/1/05 nutrient management plans will be needed for most farms near water
