CALL TO ORDER: 9:40a.m. by Doug Dewing

MINUTES APPROVAL: Motion to approve minutes made by Duane Johnson/2nd Charlie Peterson.
Motion carried.

FINANCE REPORT APPROVAL: Motion to approve finance report as presented made by Duane Johnson
/2nd Charlie Peterson. Motion carried.


AGENDA:

NRCS - Tom Fredrickson

*Field visits completed at several locations for several different practices.
*Recap of EQIP program - $$ still not here; hopefully soon. Statewide signup 4/19 - 5/28 =
manure storage @ 50% costshare rate.
*WHIP - 75% costshare rate - signup 4/19 -5/28 - prairie plantings, etc….
*Spawning reefs completed on Middle Mckenzie lake - 7 reefs total

WILDLIFE DAMAGE - Cindy Blonk

*3 new shooting permit requests since last meeting.
*1 participant with over $1000 damage from 2003 still has not turned in his paperwork (personal issues).
Cindy has made it clear to him that he still must fill his quota of tags by 9/15.
*Units 11 & 16 will NOT be T-zone for this year. All other northwestern units will be T-zone per
information received from Nancy Christel.

BIG WOOD LAKE - Paul Cook

*Working on annual report - will give summary at next meeting.
*Transferred $1800 of cost share dollars to Jefferson County for "soft" practices.
*West Sweden culvert recap.
*Completing road permits for Town of Swiss
*Completing site visits for erosion control practices as referred by Zoning.

LWRMP REVIEW - Dave Ferris

*Recap of Plan presentation to the Land & Water Conservation Board. Plan approved by the board.
We are set for the next 5 years (from 2003).
*Screened viewing of the Power Point presentation as presented to the LWCB.

PRESENTATION TO DOUG DEWING

*Presentation of a plaque to Doug Dewing in appreciation of his 17 years service to the County Board as
well as the Land & Water Conservation Committee.

OTHER BUSINESS

*Handouts
*Installing locking outlet boxes at Clam Dam to avoid future vandalism.
*Prepping for controlled burns to begin at the airport
*Need to start thinking about replacing the Dodge.
*Dave will not be going to the Land Trust conference - too pricey.
*Dave will be attending WAL next week
