Chairman Herbert Josephson called the August 12, 2003, meeting of the Land Committee to order at 8:30 a.m. at the Burnett County Government Center. Members present: Herbert Josephson, Melvin Daniels, and Clifford Main. Others present: Helen Steffen, Joanne Pahl.

Moved by Mel Daniels, second by Clifford Main, to approve the July 14, 2003 Land Committee minutes. Motion carried.

Joanne Pahl reported profits from the county land sale held in June were about $58,000.

Corp. Counsel Grindell has not provided information on Unit 6 of the Lake 26 Resort Condominiums "non-completion of unit."

The Crocker tax deed civil case has not been scheduled on the court calendar.

No information from Kathy Swingle regarding the ownership of the 25 feet of former railroad property in Webster adjoining the Gander Dancer Trail and Hedrick's Lot 8, Block 1, Robert's Addition. The county will wait to act on this request until it is known if the county owns the land in question.

An offer to purchase 2 parcels equaling 18 acres of real property in Section 18, Town 38N Range 19 W (Town of Grantsburg) for $45,000 by the Wisconsin Dept. of Natural Resources was reviewed. A motion was made by Clifford Main, second by Mel Daniels, to recommend approval to the County Board at their meeting on August 14, 2003. Motion carried.
