Peterson called the meeting to order at 9: 00 a.m. in Room 165 of the Burnett County Government Center.
Motion by, Bickford, second by Peterson, to approve the minutes of the October 2005 Forestry Committee Meeting. Motion carried.
Vouchers were already sent to Finance Committee.
Monthly Status Report was reviewed.
Peterson reviewed the Law Enforcement report. Three citations issued and 38 contacts made. There will be a Snowmobile available for use by the officer to patrol this winter.
No update received on the Bear Lake Hiking Trail.
Briggs Lake Fence. We received a letter from the owner's son indicating that they are willing to use the GPS line. Dave Grindell has contacted the individual and sent an agreement which will allow us to use the GPS line. They have not sent it back yet.
Jackson Land Use Agreement request. This is not a route of last resort; therefore it does not qualify for a Land Use Agreement as per our County Forest Ten Year Plan. Motion by Peterson, second by Bickford, to stay with the Burnett County Ten Year Plan and deny the request.
Motion by Bickford, second by Peterson, to go on record to support the Wild Rivers Act for the Totagatic River. Motion carried.
Discussion on Eagle Lake Easement Request. It was reviewed by Corporation Counsel as not being allowed. The individual was told that they can request a Land Use Agreement if they like.
Stora-Enso's request for a close out on Contract #2712-02 without penalties was reviewed. Two small areas cannot be harvested because they are behind private property and the landowner would not allow access. Motion by Bickford, second by Peterson, to close the sale with no penalties. Motion carried.
Danbury Water Commission update. Appraisals of land parcels were close. Motion by Bickford, second by Peterson, to authorize starting the County Forest Withdrawal at an even trade. Motion carried. A deed restriction, requiring that if the property is not used for the stated purpose, the County gets the first offer to purchase. Corporation Counsel is to look the information over and make suggestions.
Summer ATV mileage request was reviewed. Motion by Peterson, second by Bickford, to table this item until after the first of the year.
Motion by Bickford, second by Peterson, to apply for a Sustainable Forestry Grant for a bridge in Roosevelt. Motion carried.
Funds may be available for a study of an ATV Park on County Forest. This item was tabled until after the 1st of the year.
Annual Work Plan Resolution for Administrative Grant. Motion by Bickford, second by Peterson that the Annual Work Plan Resolution be approved. Motion carried.
