MISSION STATEMENT

The Maintenance and Grounds Department performs variety of maintenance and custodial duties to maintain the government center, grounds, equipment, machinery, and telephone system in good repair and in a cost effective, clean, orderly, and safe condition for Burnett County employees and tax payers. A staff of four serve to maintain approximately 54,000 square feet of building space, and a multi-acre grounds area.

DEPARTMENT SERVICES

The department is a support unit for the government center operations and provides no direct service to the public.

HISTORY OF DEPARTMENT

The Maintenance Department was organized with the completed construction of the present government center office building in the fall of 1984. The first Maintenance and Grounds Supervisor was Mr. Robert Probst from 1984 to 2000.
