The Burnett Garden Club is a non-profit, educational club that has been in existence since 1988.
We are a member club of the Minnesota State Horticultural Society, the largest organization of it's kind in the nation. Our benefits are the 'Northern Gardener' magazine, access to videos, slideshows, and library books for free, discounts at MSHS lectures and functions, and a Spring Green discount card which gives us discounts in the spring at participating nurseries.
We welcome anyone from the area to join our club, regardless of county of residence. All of our meetings (except tours) take place at the Grantsburg High School at 7:00 PM on the second Thursday of the month. All meetings are open to the public. In the winter months, we spend our meetings in educational speakers, videos, and slideshows. During the summer months, we have no formal meetings, instead using our time to learn by touring gardens and going on trips to browse through nurseries.
Our club has a fundraiser Plant Sale in the spring, an annual Tour of Gardens in the summer (local members' and community gardens), and we plant and maintain the welcome sign garden on the west side of Grantsburg, the Grantsburg Library garden, the Grantsburg fairgrounds planters, and various other projects in town.
