The Economic Support Program
helps people to meet their basic needs. Economic Support Specialists provide
case management, advocacy, and referral services. These services promote independence
and self-sufficiency for families and individuals.
Services provided by Economic
Support include the following:
- Wisconsin Works (W2)
A range of services to families with minor children to obtain and retain employment.
- Employment and Training
Programs For persons receiving food stamps or financial assistance who
are able to work.
- Food Stamps Benefits
now available through an EBT card.
- Medical Assistance
Pays for medical care for families and individuals meeting income and asset
guidelines. Also known as Medicaid, Title 19, Healthy Start, Badger Care,
Nursing Home Care, and Community Waivers.
- Child Care Assistance
For parents with children under 12 years of age who are working and need help
paying for care.
- Energy Assistance
Helps low income individuals pay for a portion of their utility bills.
