Building Permits

Building permits are required in most of the unincorporated areas of Burnett County. Initial contact should be made with the county zoning office, 715-349-2138, in the Government Center, Siren. Referrals to local town clerks may be given from there.

Permits are also required in the following villages:

• Village of Grantsburg: Permit applications are available at village hall. Must be approved by building inspector and then go before village board. Contact village clerk, 715-463-2405.

• Village of Siren: Contact building inspector Bob Lee, 715-349-2273.

• Village of Webster: Permit applications available at village hall. Minor renovations may be approved by village clerk. New construction or additions are subject to building inspector's approval. 715-866-4211.
