1. How do I find grants or financing for my business?

There are not very many grants or free money as many people hope or expect for. Often times people get access to finance their business through loans. You can find financing sources on our website or contact our Business Development Specialist at 715-635-2197.

2. What permits do I need for my business?

You can find out what permits you need by using the Permits Wizard or you can call the Wisconsin Department of Commerce for State permit information at 1-800-435-7287. Locally you should call your Zoning Department at the Town, Village, or County level.

3. Where can I get help in developing a business plan or other general business questions?

You can get one on one counseling through the Small Business Development Center at no cost by calling 800-410-8351. General questions can also be answered by calling the Business Answerline at 1-800-SBCD (7232).
