  3. Woodland Owner Forums

    February 18, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Spooner Agricultural Research Station

    At some point every landowner will need to make a decision about what to do with their wooded property. Most woodland owners don’t know where to turn for advice for important decisions like timber sales, forest management or estate planning. These forums are an opportunity to learn about your options, meet local forestry professionals in person, and learn from the experience of other woodland owners.

  4. Crex Snowmobile Trail Rides

    February 20, 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM @ Crex Meadows Wildlife Area

    Join us for fun rides on some local snowmobile trails and see what the surrounding wildlife areas have to offer. We will start at the Visitor Center by talking a little safety and trail etiquette before heading out. You must supply your own snowmobile and helmet. Remember to dress warm! Snowmobile must be registered and display an annual trail pass. Rider must have proof of Snowmobile Safety Certification Course. Adults only. Rides may be canceled depending on trail conditions.

  5. Indoor Rendevous Trade Fair

    February 20, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Forts Folle Avoine

    Great prices on items used for camping, clothing, etc in the early 1800s style. "Trade, Barter, Buy" Open to the public and traders, this event is a great opportunity for everyone to get great deals on merchandise that the traders want to clear out of their inventory. You might find just the thing you were looking for, not to mention the fun and camaraderie of a traders camp, indoors, at the end of February.

  6. Animal Detectives Snowshoe Hike

    February 20, 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM @ Crex Meadows Wildlife Area

    Learn to read animal tracks and signs then hike to see what the animals have been doing in the park this winter. Afterwards, warm up with a cup of hot chocolate. Make a track snack and craft to take home! Snowshoes available on a first come, first served basis or bring your own. Even with little to no snow, we will still have the hike.

    Wildlife Rehabilitator Tammi Larson will be presenting about the dangers wild animals face in an increasingly human-dominated landscape. Live animals, storytelling, and wildlife artifacts will be used to teach children and others to respect wildlife.
