  2. 41st St. Croix Annual Traditional Wild Rice Pow-wow

    August 22 - August 24 @ Highway 77, 2 miles west of Danbury

    The Wild Rice Pow-Wow, in celebration of the annual wild rice harvest, is held 2 miles west of Danbury on Highway 77. In recent years the pow-wow has been restored to its original status of a traditional pow-wow. The annual event brings hundreds of dancers and singers from all over the Midwest and Canada. The pow-wow features arts & crafts and traditional Native American food.

  3. Antique and Collectibles Appraisal

    The Burnett County Historical Society is pleased to host an antiques and collectibles appraisal event featuring author and expert Mark F. Moran of Iola, Wisconsin.

    Elegant high tea begins with lemonade and punch served on the deck and continues in the banquet hall with tea sandwiches, sweets, and tea. Raffle baskets.

    Come join us for a day of fun! Now’s the time to show off your beloved pet – and they don’t have to be a pure-bred with papers to enter (unless the papers are potty pads). Go to our website for the registration form or stop by the shelter during business hours. (Must pre-register; no walk-in registrations.) All proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Burnett County, Inc.’s new building fund. Your support helps the animals at our shelter, and we thank you.

  8. Wolf Howl

    August 30, 7:30 PM @ Crex Meadows Wildlife Area

    Have you ever heard a timber wolf howl in the wild? Crex Meadows Wildlife Area offers you the opportunity to hear the harmonious howls of the “Crex Pack” while learning how to howl like one! Reservations required. Space is limited to 40 participants.

  9. Wild Rice Pancake Breakfast

    August 31, 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM @ Forts Folle Avoine Historical Park

    The breakfast is a wonderful "before or after church" activity, a good place to meet your neighbors or bring your weekend guests. The breakfast includes Pancakes, Sausage, Eggs & Beverage! Stay after breakfast to see the exhibits, take a tour, and enjoy selecting items in the Gift Shop! Tour and Breakfast Combo - $11.00 adults 13 yrs & up, $7.00 6-12 yrs
